Welcome to the Uinta County Community Partners page.  Each of the programs or agencies listed are currently being funded by the United Way of Southwest Wyoming.  In helping to create lasting changes in our community, the United Way collaborates with our funded community partners as well as other agencies, programs and businesses.

     Provides early intervention services for children, ages birth through 5 years, with disabilities. United Way funding helps pay for special education teachers.

Sexual Assault and Family Violence (SAFV) of Uinta County

     Provides affordable health screenings, family planning and other health services to low-income women.  85% of Family Planning’s clients are at or below the poverty level.  United Way contributions help pay for a part time nursing position to take medical histories, draw blood and perform lab work.

Uinta BOCES 1 Foundation

     Provides services at College and Career readiness Center at B.O.C.E.S. in Evanston in order to target a population that has left the education system without sufficient literacy skills in order to break the cycle of poverty and illiteracy by improving th eduaction opportunities for low-income Uinta county families

Youth Alternative Home Association (YAHA)

     Provides a temporary home for victims of child neglect and abuse and youth in need of a place to stay while working out behavioral or attitudinal problems with parents.  United Way pays for a summer program of education, community service and employment for YAHA residents.
