- Uinta County Helping Hands Day meeting

United Way of Southwest Wyoming is holding the first Uinta County Helping Hands Day committee meeting on January 21 at 5:30pm at Kern River Gas in Evanston, WY.

Helping Hands Day is a volunteer event where Helping Hands Day teams complete improvement projects in the community for people with disabilities, the elderly and non-profit organizations.  Project requests typically include facility repairs, renovations, beautification projects, and house and yard work.

United Way Helping Hands Day committee members work with organizations wishing to submit projects as well as recruiting volunteer teams to pick up submitted projects.  People wanting to be a part of this committee are urged to attend the meeting.

"Helping Hands Day is a great way to give back to your community.  We've had several requests from locals to bring this event to Uinta County and plan to see a lot of community involvement," said Suzanne Zutter, United Way of Southwest Wyoming Executive Director.
