- Gifts in Kind Inventory List Updated

For several months local United Way community partners have been receiving building supplies and materials, plumbing products and assorted household and cleaning items through United Way’s participation in the Home Depot’s The Framing Hope Project Donation program.

The Home Depot in Rock Springs, Wyoming has been matched with United Way of Southwest Wyoming through Gifts In Kind International.  United Way picks up the donated products as they become available and serves as a channel for its community partners to use them to create a positive impact on the community.  Donation quantities have varied but the program ususally consists of one to three pallets per week.

“United Way saw this partnership as a way to better our communities in southwest Wyoming.  The donated products can be used to help clients or to lower overhead costs for our community partners,” said Suzanne Zutter, United Way executive director, “We will be participating in the program for at least one year and then we have the option to renew our application.”

Gifts In Kind International was selected by The Home Depot to manage Framing Hope--The Home Depot Community Product Donation Program.  The eighth largest charity in the country, Gifts In Kind International works with half of the Fortune 100 companies to distribute new product donations to community nonprofits around the world that are working to enhance, empower and restore communities and people in need.  With more than 150,000 partner nonprofit organizations, Gifts In Kind improves the lives of 13 million people each year.
