Helping Hands Day 2011

We would like to thank all of the sponsors and volunteers who participated in this years' Helping Hands Day.  This year was a huge success and we couldn't do it without you!

What is Helping Hands Day?
Helping Hands Day began as a way to show you how your “hands on” volunteer work can make a difference in just one day. Hundreds of volunteers complete submitted projects that range from various cleaning and yard work for seniors and disabled persons, to repairing a fence and installing cabinets for local non-profit groups. Volunteer projects take anywhere from one to eight hours to accomplish.

How does my team get/pay for supplies for our project?
Through United Way's partnership with Home Depot's Framing Hope Project  and other donations many supplies may be available free of charge. Check with us before purchasing any supplies.

Many local companies sponsor Helping Hands Day. Your team can submit a "supply request" form to have your supplies paid for through these sponsorships. Requests are reviewed by the Helping Hands Day Committee and will be based on available funds.
